The delicate floral forms and the rawness of the solid steel, vailed in either bright colours or difference experiments with the natural patinas, form a contrast of fragility and strength, grace and force, elegance and roughness, and symbolise the beauty of life itself in its imperfect, unpredictable way.
T H E S T O R Y The first real steps of this monumental series were taken in 2021. The two artists that have been working together for a decade, have been thinking quite some time about how they could bring their abstract creations to a new dimension. Both, with their strong connection the walls, first thought about creating the sculptures out of concrete and so transform their usual painting support as a step further in their practice. But very quickly the artists realised, that the weight and fragility of the material were not the right way to express their intentions and emotions with this series and they switched to steel, which opened them a completely new universe with seemingly endless possibilities.
